Most drug discovery starts with a hypothesis: pick a target, design a molecule, hope the biology cooperates. When the disease mechanism is known, this works. Most of the time, it isn't, and programs fail late at extraordinary cost.

TRAILBLAZER works differently. We describe two things: where the patient is, and where we want the patient to be. The model finds the treatment that closes the gap. No mechanism required, no target hypothesis. It is unsupervised at its core, learning the geometry of multicellular human biology directly, then plotting a route between phenotypic states the way a map plots a route between two points.

This is what makes TRAILBLAZER the world's first multicellular foundational model of human biology, and what allows it to find treatments even when the underlying disease mechanism is not yet understood.
